Either our bus for the last leg of the journey (well I call it a bus, but it was more a large minivan taxi taking us on a terror journey through hell doing 180° spins over perilous cliffs...) was about to leave, or somebody had just opened a box of chocolate biscuits. I think it was the latter. |

The people who stayed with me in one of the rooms – Lucinda, Simon, Amy and Mark. I got the pull out bed on the floor. Henry, Cath, Martin, Ollie and Alex took the other room upstairs. |
| A picture of the part of Val Thorens near where we were staying. We had two rooms within an apartment block (called Le Nêves) that were floors apart (Mark’s canny cheap deals coming to the fore again ;) ), quite nice but nothing special. |
