A complete redesign for a number of reasons; to bring the site into
compliance with new accessibility legislation, to give the site a new look
(removing the old frames-based site completely), and to make it easier to update.
The site meets various accessibility criteria (including the US federal
government’s Section 508 and the
W3C’s
WAI
guidelines), uses CSS
for design to separate content and presentation, and includes
a content management system so staff and fellows can keep their
sections up to date.
